Effingham Schools Trust … an exceptional and distinctive educational offering has been created.
The Governors are pleased to announce that we are forming a partnership with our neighbouring school, St Teresa’s, to create a diamond model; the most contemporary education model available, offering the best of single sex and co-ed education to girls and boys.
The new charitable trust will be called the Effingham Schools Trust.
Our particular diamond model will mean that children from Nursery to Year 4 are educated in a co-ed environment, then from Year 5 to Year 11 boys and girls will be educated on two separate sites in a single sex environment. They will come together again for a co-ed Sixth Form.
As a result, boys and girls at Cranmore will continue to flourish from Nursery to Year 4 as they do now in a co-ed environment. Cranmore will offer boys’ senior education to 16 for the first time, building on the success we currently enjoy. This exciting initiative will give the boys the opportunity to sit their GCSEs at Cranmore. They will then move on into the co-ed Sixth Form to study for their A levels.
The diamond model school will be the result of evolution, not revolution. Therefore for some families at Cranmore there will be little impact, for others the change will be more significant.
