SKI CLUB
Cranmore Ski Club was founded in 1977 with a few boys who wanted to ski more than just once a year on holiday. It is a club for all ages and abilities and meets every Monday evening throughout the year at Sandown Park. It is also open to siblings so allowing the whole family to learn.Lessons are run on both the Nursery and Main slope and taught by members of the Sandown staff thus catering for a range of ability.
There is a series of Grand Prix Races held over the season and medals and cups are awarded at each level. Any boy who shows potential will be invited to join the Ski Squad who are trained independently by former international, John Harris. The boys represent the school at a number of different events over the year and are currently the ESSKIA U14 National Champions and runners up at U12 level. The school also sends boys to the inter-schools' championship held in Les Houches, France.
There is also an annual ski trip to the French Alps.
