Football

Football is played throughout the School during Games lessons. Individual and team skills appropriate to the year group are taught by qualified, specialist staff and visiting coaches. We have an extensive programme of skill based lessons and after school clubs run in conjunction with Chelsea F.C.

Cranmore was awarded the F.A. Charter Standard in 2001. This recognises the number of qualified coaches on the staff, the number of teams and our links with local clubs. It also reflects the amount of 'out of hours' time given to all the age groups from Under 7s upwards.

School age group teams play fixtures at A-F level, giving every boy the opportunity to play in representative matches. The teams enjoy considerable success in these fixtures and tournaments.

During the holidays, courses for boys are organised by Surrey Football Coaching Centres. The Surrey F.A. hold Coach Development Workshops and full F.A. courses for teachers, club volunteer coaches and managers.
