The House System

On entry into Cranmore boys are allocated to one of six houses. This helps to establish bonds and a sense of identity with boys in other year groups.

There is a weekly meeting at which the House Staff can promote the school's values and encourage the boys to work hard, behave well and to show respect for one another.  Merits can be gained for showing these traits and a cup is awarded to the House with the highest total.

On entering the Senior Department all boys are assigned a 'buddy', a member of the 6th Form from their House, to help them when necessary and provide another line of communication.

There are regular Inter-House competitions throughout the year which provide opportunities for boys to display their talents and also develop teamwork.
