The Junior Department aims to create a caring environment within which every child is valued.
As a Catholic school we aim to ensure that the teaching,using a specific RE programme, both through "Here I Am" and "The Way, The Truth and The Life" series,provide an important contribution to the faith of our pupils and promotes their knowledge and understanding of the multicultural world in which they live.
We work together to support selected good causes and the boys are encouraged to appreciate the needs of others and to care for those around them.
We begin each day with a prayer, most days with a Junior Assembly and once a week the whole school gathers together. Each assembly takes a different form: praise for individual success; appreciation of talent in music and drama; listening to stories from the Bible and other sources; or it is presented by an individual class group. We also allow time to celebrate birthdays, special events and team or individual successes during our assembly time in order to build a sense of community and belonging.
