Whilst Football and Rugby are the main Invasion games taught, other games are also played.
Hockey is introduced in form 5 (NC Yr7) as an after-school club activity. This is particularly valuable for those boys who are to leave and go on to hockey schools. We play on a ¾ size Astro pitch which enables skills to be learnt quickly and safely. The 5th and 6th forms combine to play about three fixtures against local schools in the spring term.
Basketball is taught in curriculum time from form 3 upwards. The younger boys play in the gymnasium on a smaller court with lowered baskets. As the boys get older they can play on the full sized court in the sports hall. There is a designated evening for practice, and several boys are also youth members of Fetcham Canons, who train and play their home matches at Cranmore.
