Happy Chinese New Year! We have had a very exciting time learning about this special time of year in Bright Stars. Our Chinese restaurant has been very popular with all the children, and they have had fun learning to use chopsticks with noodles. The children have made some beautiful collages which are on display in our Blue Room.
We were very privileged to have a visit from Jason’s Mummy on Wednesday. She talked about the special colours of red and gold, brought clothes in for the children to dress up in, showed us a short DVD about how families in China celebrate their New Year and showed us how to write in Chinese. Many of the children wanted to have a turn at writing too.
