Mathematics

We run schemes of work, covering the widest possible range of mathematical topics, at levels of understanding appropriate to the abilities of our pupils. We teach beyond the National Curriculum targets so that the boys fulfil their potential at both Common Entrance and Scholarship level.

We work hard to foster a real understanding and enjoyment of mathematics in our pupils by encouraging the development of problem solving skills and independent thought.

The boys have opportunities to participate in national and local competitions both as individuals and working as part of a team. By the end of their time at Cranmore we hope that our pupils will have come to realise the relevance and importance of mathematics in the world today.
