History

History is taught within K.U.W (Knowledge and Understanding of the World) in the Foundation Stage. The children find out about the past and present, they observe features of the place they live in and the natural world. The boys are encouraged to talk about features they like and dislike as well as learning about their own cultures and beliefs and those of other people. They enjoy trips to Wisley Gardens, London Zoo and Brooklands Museum.

Excellent planning ensures progression and diversity in each year group. The boys use information technology as well as books and artefacts to help them to develop their research skills. They enjoy visits and a multitude of art and craft activities to enhance their enjoyment of one of the most inspiring areas of the curriculum.
